Organization: Unrivaled Sports | All-Ripken Games
Position Type: Seasonal / Event-Based
Location: Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point - Sandusky, OH
Event Dates: July 27th -30th, 2026
Position Summary:
Unrivaled Sports is seeking experienced baseball and softball professionals to serve as Field Coordinators for the All-Ripken Games. Field Coordinators play a critical leadership role in executing high-level tournament operations, maintaining game flow, supporting coaches and athletes, and ensuring a safe, professional, and development-focused environment. This position is ideal for individuals with strong on-field leadership experience and a passion for athlete development and event operations.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Field Operations
  • Oversee daily field setup, readiness, and breakdown for games and practices
  • Ensure fields are properly stocked with game balls and essential equipment
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional field environments aligned with All-Ripken standards
  • Reset fields efficiently between games to ensure consistent presentation and on-time starts

Game Flow & Rule Enforcement
  • Manage team movement on and off fields to keep games on schedule
  • Communicate inning limits, time limits, run rules, and schedule updates to coaches and umpires
  • Ensure tournament rules, roster guidelines, and safety protocols are consistently followed
  • Serve as the first point of contact for on-field issues and escalate when necessary

Coach & Player Support
  • Serve as the primary on-field liaison for assigned teams and coaches
  • Assist with pre-game warm-ups, first-base coaching support, and general game management when needed
  • Answer rules-related questions and provide clarification to prevent disputes
  • Hold coaches accountable to teaching, instructing, and coaching the game appropriately
  • Provide player instruction or guidance when appropriate to support development
  • Ensure player safety standards and sportsmanship expectations are upheld at all times

Skills Workout & Practice Oversight (Event-Specific)
  • Support or oversee skills workouts, data capture, and team practice sessions as assigned
  • Ensure accurate execution of drills, measurements, and player flow
  • Track attendance and document no-shows when applicable

Equipment Oversight
  • Track and manage on-field equipment (game balls, demo bats, training tools, etc.)
  • Support ball-return processes to minimize loss and maintain inventory throughout the event

Professionalism & Brand Representation
  • Represent Unrivaled Sports and the All-Ripken brand with a high level of professionalism and energy
  • Create a positive experience for athletes and families by being approachable, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented
  • Collaborate closely with umpires, coaches, operations staff, and event leadership to ensure smooth execution

Qualifications
Required:
  • One or more of the following:
    • High School Head Coaching experience
    • College coaching experience
    • College or professional playing experience
  • Strong working knowledge of baseball/softball rules, game management, and player safety standards
  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple teams, games, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work collaboratively with coaches, umpires, staff, and families

Preferred:
  • Prior experience with tournaments, showcases, or all-star style events
  • Experience supervising staff or coordinating on-field operations
  • Background in athlete development, evaluation, or performance training

Time Commitment:
  • Event-based / seasonal position
  • Requires availability for multi-day events, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
