Job Description

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Creative Services Director to lead our internal creative services function - a multidisciplinary team responsible for turning studio and IP-related brand and communication strategies into high-quality creative assets and content.

In this role, you will act as the leader of our internal creative studio, actively managing priorities and ensuring creative work is clearly prioritized, well-briefed, aligned with stakeholder needs and delivered on time to the expected quality bar across a broad range of static, video and in-game assets - from trailers, screenshots, key visuals and game capture to creative materials supporting employer branding, internal communications, investor relations and wider studio initiatives.

You will work closely with the Brand Director and their team, who are responsible for defining the creative direction and communication needs for our brands and projects, helping translate their needs and goals into clear briefs, efficient workflows and high-quality creative deliverables across multiple projects - including AAA games, as well as external projects and other studio initiatives.

We are looking for someone who can bring structure to complexity, manage competing priorities, improve delivery quality and create an environment where creative teams can do their best work.

Daily responsibilities

  • Leading and developing CD PROJEKT RED’s internal creative services function, ensuring it operates as a trusted partner for teams across the studio.
  • Setting the operating model for the internal creative studio, including ways of working, intake, priority alignment with marketing and production plans, stakeholder collaboration, pathways for upskilling teams, quality standards and internal creative review processes.
  • Partnering with teams defining creative quality and communication needs for our brands and projects.
  • Working closely with production leadership to ensure creative work is well-planned, properly resourced and delivered on time, at the expected quality bar.
  • Ensuring the creative services function can effectively support a multi-project environment by translating diverse stakeholder needs into clear priorities, briefs and creative delivery plans across AAA games, external projects, IP-related initiatives, employer branding, internal communications, investor relations and other studio needs.
  • Ensuring the team’s artistic output is consistently up to CDPR quality standards, and on-brand.
  • Raising the quality of creative deliverables by setting clear standards, strengthening feedback and review processes, and ensuring teams have the skills and context they need to execute well.
  • Bringing clarity, structure and alignment to complex creative needs, especially where multiple projects, stakeholders or priorities overlap.
  • Leading, developing and supporting the Creative Services team by setting clear direction, goals, expectations and accountability, while ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Building a collaborative, high-performing and inclusive team environment through regular feedback, coaching, mentoring and development planning.
  • Managing team structure, capabilities and workforce planning, including hiring, succession planning, resource allocation and actions needed to maintain high standards of quality, effectiveness and engagement.
  • Managing and supporting relationships with external creative partners, freelancers, vendors or agencies where needed, in partnership with production leadership.
  • Long-term capability and budget planning for the creative services area.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve tools, workflows, creative work quality, collaboration models and ways of working across the internal creative studio.
Qualifications
  • Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within gaming, entertainment, a global studio, publisher or another large-scale creative organization.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams responsible for high-quality creative work across static, video, digital, social, in-game and campaign formats.
  • Proven ability to translate brand, creative or communication strategies into clear briefs, priorities, creative direction and high-quality deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of game marketing, entertainment marketing or IP-led creative work, including trailers, game capture, screenshots, key visuals, in-game assets and large-scale campaign deliverables.
  • Strong creative judgment and ability to maintain a high quality bar across multiple formats, stakeholders and business needs.
  • Experience setting up or improving operating models for creative services teams, including intake, prioritization, stakeholder collaboration, creative reviews and quality standards.
  • Experience working in a complex, multi-project environment, balancing several concurrent priorities, timelines, stakeholders and types of deliverables.
  • Ability to partner effectively with production leaders, producers or project managers on planning, capacity, delivery risks and execution needs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to understand needs, clarify priorities, build trust and align teams around creative delivery.
  • Experience working with external agencies, freelancers, production vendors or other creative partners.
  • Strong people leadership skills, with experience managing creative leads, managers or senior specialists across different disciplines.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to bring clarity, direction and alignment in a fast-moving environment.
