SierTeK Ltd. is seeking two (2) Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) Support Specialist to support an opportunity at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

Position Overview Section

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Systems Design (ISD) Support Specialist to provide instructional design expertise in support of the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) education and training mission. This position collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Course Directors, Curriculum Development Managers, production teams, and government stakeholders to design, develop, evaluate, and improve multimedia-based instructional products and training solutions.

The successful candidate will apply the ADDIE Instructional Systems Design model to develop effective learning experiences, integrate emerging educational technologies, evaluate course effectiveness, and ensure training products meet USAFSAM educational and operational requirements.

Essential Job Functions

Instructional Design & Curriculum Development

  • Apply all phases of the ADDIE model:
    • Analyze
    • Design
    • Develop
    • Implement
    • Evaluate
  • Collaborate with SMEs, production teams, Course Directors, and Curriculum Development Managers to create effective instructional products.
  • Analyze training requirements and recommend:
    • Instructional platforms
    • Delivery methods
    • Media formats
    • Development tools
  • Develop training plans and support validation activities to ensure courses meet learning objectives and required proficiency levels.
  • Review, edit, and maintain curriculum materials for accuracy, clarity, grammar, formatting, and instructional effectiveness.

Multimedia & Educational Technology Development

  • Design and develop instructional materials including:
    • Instructor guides
    • Student materials
    • Instructional text
    • Audio scripts
    • Video scripts
    • Multimedia products
  • Support creation of graphics, media projects, simulations, and interactive learning products.
  • Utilize modern instructional technologies including:
    • Adobe Captivate
    • SCORM-compliant courseware
    • Virtual learning environments
    • Simulation technologies
    • Gaming applications
    • 3D modeling and virtual reality solutions
  • Recommend technology solutions to improve learner engagement and training effectiveness.

Online Learning & Course Evaluation

  • Upload, manage, test, and validate online courseware.
  • Conduct testing of eLearning products and provide comprehensive evaluation reports.
  • Analyze:
    • End-of-course evaluations
    • Student feedback
    • Field surveys
    • Training performance data
  • Provide written recommendations for improving course effectiveness using ISD principles.
  • Support validation and continuous improvement of USAFSAM training programs.

Project Coordination & Stakeholder Support

  • Receive and clarify customer training requests.
  • Coordinate project scope discussions and determine appropriate instructional products.
  • Develop project storyboards and coordinate content reviews.
  • Manage review cycles and obtain stakeholder approval for final course delivery.
  • Provide instructional consultation throughout all phases of multimedia development.
  • Attend meetings, training sessions, and educational planning events as required.

Administrative & Program Support

  • Maintain curriculum files, records, and project documentation.
  • Support office continuity activities and instructional program initiatives.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and training resources.
  • Provide technical and educational guidance to USAFSAM departments as needed.

Minimum Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in:
    • Educational Technology
    • Instructional Design
    • Educational Design

    • Related discipline

OR

  • Five (5) years of applied experience in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) techniques and related disciplines.

Experience must include demonstrated knowledge in at least two of the following areas:

Learning Theory & Educational Psychology

  • Understanding of learning theories and principles related to instructional design.
  • Application of educational psychology concepts to training development.

Instructional Design Practices

  • Experience designing training strategies, instructional models, and learning solutions.
  • Knowledge of systematic approaches to improving instructional effectiveness.

Educational Assessment

  • Experience developing:
    • Assessments
    • Surveys
    • Evaluation tools
    • Performance measurements
  • Ability to analyze instructional effectiveness and learner outcomes.

Instructional Product Creation

  • Experience developing training materials by:
