Overview
In this role, you'll serve as a trusted risk advisor to middle market and large commercial clients, helping them navigate complex insurance challenges and uncover opportunities to better protect their businesses. You'll build and grow a profitable book of business by developing strong client and carrier relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering customized risk management solutions.

As a key member of our team, you'll partner with industry experts, underwriters, and service professionals to create innovative solutions for clients across a variety of industries. You'll stay ahead of market trends, represent RPS in the marketplace, and leverage your network to drive growth and establish yourself as a trusted resource in the industry.

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand your portfolio and drive revenue growth.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with clients, prospects, carrier partners, and centers of influence.
  • Analyze complex risks and design tailored insurance and risk management solutions that meet clients' evolving needs.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, account managers, and internal specialists to deliver exceptional client experiences and winning outcomes.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging risks, and market conditions to provide valuable insights and strategic guidance.
  • Represent RPS at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.
  • Negotiate with carriers to secure competitive coverage solutions and deliver value for clients

About You
  • Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of insurance, sales, or business development experience; or participation in Gallagher's Sales Internship Program (GSIP); or a High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of related experience.
  • Commercial casualty insurance experience is required.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, generate new business, and deliver client-focused solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, risk management principles, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Active Property & Casualty license, or the ability to obtain and maintain required licensing.
  • Preferred: Wholesale brokerage experience and/or professional designations such as CPCU, CIC, ARM, or CEBS.
