Job description

Head of Product Gaia Health

Full-time, San Francisco, open to hybrid

About the Role

Gaia is a consumer health company re-defining our experience with medicine across the whole stack. We have created technological breakthroughs in drug delivery technology that enable once monthly controlled-release of medicines rather than needing daily pills, and alongside this were building a tech platform for personalized medicine. Gaia is hiring a founding Head of Product to own the product experience end to end — digital and physical. This is a dream role for someone inspired by product development that shifts industry standards: the integration of hardware and software, in the most intimate part of people\'s lives — their health. You\'ll turn a year of direct customer insight and a very clear mission into a roadmap, a set of decisions, and the product itself, working alongside founding leaders in engineering, design, and brand who care about craft as much as you do.

What You\'ll Own
  • The customer journey end to end, designed from direct work with patients and physicians including every moment where trust and momentum are won

  • The digital experience for patients and physicians, and the now-versus-later decisions about what gets built — scoped and launched with engineering and design

  • The physical experience: what arrives in a patient\'s hands, what belongs on screen versus in the box, and the collateral supply chain behind it

  • Education as product: materials that build confidence with patients and physicians – Product success metrics oriented to outcomes and trust with disciplined experimentation practice

  • AI built into the product experience where it serves people, judgment to know where it belongs

What You\'ll Bring
  • A record of shipping consumer-grade product end to end, from ambiguity through launch and iteration

  • Customer intimacy as a practice — you talk to users constantly and it shows in what you build

  • Strong UX chops and design thinking, and sequencing judgment: you decide what to build now and you\'re right often

  • Experience thinking in regulated environments, with respect for the intelligence of patients and the judgment of physicians

  • Metrics discipline oriented to outcomes rather than engagement, and honest experiment design

  • Low ego, strong listening, and great communication skills
