Overview:

Serve as a cook and performing general food preparation and cooking duties, and food service sanitation duties.

ESSENTIAL/CORE JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

1.         Performs cooking and food preparation duties including therapeutic diets.

2.         Serves meals to clients.

3.         Determines portions to be cooked (production).

4.         Maintains the work area, washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, counter tops and other equipment used in meal preparation.

5.         Completes appropriate labeling of trays and paying close attention to diet needs.

Education/Experience: 

  • Prior food service experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
