Job description

Maintenance Technician
Location: Rincon, GA, US
On-Site
A great maintenance technician is a teammate that places safety first. The maintenance technician is well versed in mechanical electrical and facility maintenance with knowledge of troubleshooting, reading P&ID's, electrical schematics and can work as a team player with different sets of skills.
Your key responsibilitie
  • Leverage knowledge and ability to operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, electric tools, precision maintenance tools and preventative maintenance technology tools
  • Demonstrate experience in maintenance trades and components (ex. Low voltage electrical (480V and less), PLC, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, valves, mechanical maintenance, steam system, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems)
  • Completing preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance throughout the facility, with limited direction in a SAP system. Document completed work and the conditions found utilizing maintenance computer software and interact regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations
  • Operating forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts following site specific SOP's
  • Troubleshooting, repairing and installing process equipment including but not limited to motors, pumps, instrumentation loops for pressure/level/temperature/flow, filters, cooling lower, heat exchangers, fans, agitators, vacuum pumps, burners, pressure vessels, storage tanks, relief valves, steam traps, and power distribution network.
  • Performing facility related task such as replacing HVAC filters, painting, pressure washing, rebuilding wooden structures, light plumbing and electrical, site vehicle maintenance, etc.. Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Ensure adherence to all management systems including understanding dsm-firmenich' s Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.

You bring
  • High School Diploma with Trade School Certificate or equivalent is required
  • 5 years or more of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing industry facility.
  • Experience utilizing SAP
  • Experience in reading blueprints and manuals is required
  • Experience with Control Valves, Industrial Reliability, Welding, Boilers, Wastewater, and Cooling Towers is a plus

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant's job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Hourly range: $36.00-$40.00.
