Position Title: Guest Service Representative - Shopping Centre - Part Time 

Location: Downtown Victoria, BC Position Type: Part Time Wage:  $21.00 per hourSchedule: Monday,Thursday, Friday, Sunday Including - 0930 - 1815

About the Role

Allied Universal is proud to support a high-profile shopping destination located in the heart of downtown Victoria. This busy urban retail center plays a major role in the city's retail and tourism landscape, welcoming millions of visitors every year.

As part of our on-site customer service team, the Guest Service Representative - Shopping Centre - Part Time plays a key role in creating a positive guest experience by delivering professional, welcoming, and solution-oriented service on behalf of our client. Reporting directly to the Guest Service Lead, this front-line position assists guests, supports marketing initiatives, and helps ensure daily operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities :

Customer Service & Guest Support

  • Greet and assist guests in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
  • Provide information about the shopping center, retailers, promotions, and amenities
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and effectively, escalating as necessary to the Customer Service Lead

Retailer & Gift Card Program Support

  • Assist with gift card sales, transactions, and basic troubleshooting
  • Provide general support to retail tenants (e.g., job board postings, communication updates)
  • Maintain accurate gift card inventory and handle transactions using POS systems

Marketing & Events Assistance

  • Support the execution of mall events, promotions, and seasonal campaigns
  • Distribute promotional materials and respond to related guest inquiries
  • Assist with data tracking for marketing or promotional initiatives as directed by the Customer Service Lead

Operations & Administration

  • Follow all opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and shift reporting
  • Operate internal communication tools and systems (e.g., PA system, internal trackers)
  • Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the guest services desk

Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Diploma required
  • 1-2 years of customer service or front-line experience in a retail, hospitality, or tourism environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general computer proficiency
  • Knowledge of downtown Victoria or retail center operations is an asset
