Job description

Old Mission is a global proprietary trading firm that leverages state-of-the-art technology and research to identify and execute profitable trading strategies across multiple asset classes around the world. About the Role
We are seeking a Quantitative FX Trader to join our growing firm. This Quantitative FX Trader will report directly to a managing partner in Chicago. This trader must be able to demonstrate exemplary decision making skills in addition to superior risk management, theoretical pricing, and market structure knowledge. This trader will be involved in trading and research with a focus on the FX spot market and related derivatives.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the expansion of Old Mission's FX trading efforts
  • Work closely with internal engineering and research teams to develop proprietary trading strategies, theoretical pricing models and risk management techniques
  • Partner with our operations team in developing and managing critical clearing, vendor, ATS, and client relationships
  • Design, implement, and monitor trading strategies
  • Train and mentor a team of junior traders

Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics, Finance, or Economics or in a related field.
  • Qualified candidates will have a deep understanding across the FX market from forecasting and trading, portfolio construction, optimization, and risk management.
  • Ideal candidates will have some exposure to one of the following technologies: Python, SQL, and Excel/VBA;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills
  • Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while being instrumental in building a new business
  • Self-starter with a strong desire to make processes more efficient

Base Salary Range
$150,000 - $225,000 - Salaries are based on numerous factors such as skills, experience, and education. Our compensation package also includes a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits program for full-time employees. For more information, reach out to your recruiter.
