Job description

One Federal Solution is seeking aMultimedia Specialist IIIto provide audiovisual and photographic production, editing, documentation, and multimedia support in support of command communication goals.

The Multimedia Specialist III will support the development of professional audiovisual products, document ONR-sponsored technology and events, and produce communication materials for internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Multimedia Documentation & Presentation:Provide audiovisual and photographic production and editing in support of command communication goals.
  • Video Production (GFE):Provide multimedia support using Government Furnished Equipment for approximately fifteen (15) three-to-five minute videos on ONR-sponsored technology.
  • Event Documentation (CFE):Provide on-site audiovisual documentation and feature-length products for up to four (4) events per year using Contractor Furnished Equipment.
  • Product Distribution:Deliver products for multiple outlets including video news releases, posting on the ONR website, and other communication products.
  • Standards Compliance:Edit material into a professional audiovisual product in accordance with industry audiovisual standards, adhere to Section 508 standards, and ensure products are usable by commercial news outlets when specified.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience researching, preparing, and disseminating information through various digital media.
  • Proficient in operating digital video camera equipment and video editing software.
  • Ability to produce motion graphics for video using lighting design, sound design, story development, and conducting video interviews.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a team member and independently.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to take projects from concept to completion.
  • Experienced in Adobe Photoshop CS 4/5, Adobe Premiere video editing, PC and iOS operating systems, digital video conversion from one file format to another, and skill in color correction and processing of print and video imagery.
  • Ability to effectively manage technical aspects of image distribution; must be familiar with Navy customs and protocols with respect to the correct wearing of the Navy uniform, security considerations, etc.
  • Some travel will be required in support of ONR events.
Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in visual communications, video production, or a related broadcast field from an accredited institution and at least ten (10) years of recent experience as a Multimedia Specialist providing scriptwriting, caption writing, video editing, videography, video producing, and still photography services in a public affairs/corporate communications environment. Products include internal and external communication videos, video news releases, and photo news releases, as well as videos of ceremonies, conferences, symposiums, community activities, and other events.
