Job description

OUR STORY AND HOW YOU CAN HELP CONTRIBUTE
Everything But The House (EBTH) is a revolutionary marketplace, making it easier to find or sell secondhand goods, headquartered in Cincinnati, OH. EBTH was born out of a passion for helping people via a full-service approach to consignment; revolutionizing how homeowners, estate managers, dealers and collectors connect with a world of shoppers seeking rare and wonderful things. Each day the global auction platform unleashes an ever-changing assortment of art, jewelry, fashion, collectibles, antiques and more, all with a starting bid of $1.

EBTH aspires to be the first stop for secondhand online. We stand behind our work and offer every customer the “Uncommon Promise”. If we don’t uphold our end of the bargain, we’ll do our best to make it right.

We’re seeking a Content Support Specialist for our Furniture & Rugs department. In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our production pipeline. By owning the physical inspection, precise measurement, and attribute tagging of large-scale items, you will pave the way for our photography team to focus on capturing stunning visuals and our remote editing team to build flawless listings.

As a dynamic company, we move fast and seek to improve continuously – and while this will be a very demanding position, you’ll be surrounded by a passionate team of individuals who are dedicated to the common goal of drastically changing the way personal property is sold, bought and moved across the country – and we have a lot of fun while we’re doing it. We’re proud of our journey and we’re eager to share our story with shoppers, clients and consignors across the world!

Discover everything uncommon at EBTH.COM.

TASKS YOU’LL BE JUGGLING

  • Inspect items closely to identify and document wear, materials, structural integrity, maker's marks, and condition flaws to ensure transparent listings.
  • Prep and tag items so that photographers can focus strictly on image capture and throughput.
  • Clear, structured data entry of physical attributes into our system, ensuring our remote editing team has everything they need to craft accurate descriptions.
  • Serve as the ultimate line of defense against inaccuracy, ensuring customers know exactly what to expect when their furniture or rug arrives.
  • Work in tandem with Material Handlers to safely stage items and keep the physical workflow moving efficiently.
  • Tackle other tasks as assigned to meet company-defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

We are not providing relocation for this position and are only reviewing applications from candidates who are located in the Cincinnati, OH metropolitan area.

CREDENTIALS WE ARE SEEKING

  • Strong data entry skills and comfort utilizing computers, tablets, or inventory software in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to move, lift, or assist in maneuvering furniture and rugs up to 50 lbs. comfortably.
  • A team player who thrives in a production-line environment and enjoys keeping a steady, organized pace.
  • High school diploma/GED required; 1+ years of experience in retail inventory, estate sales, warehousing, or staging is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to maintain a set production schedule to align with business needs, while being willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends if business needs require.

We are not providing relocation for this position and are only reviewing applications from candidates who are located in the Cincinnati, OH metropolitan area.
