What is Furniture Classics?

Furniture Classics refers to timeless and iconic pieces of furniture that have stood the test of time in terms of design, quality, and popularity. Furniture Classics can be both antique and reproduction pieces that add character and elegance to any space.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a furniture sales associate, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Furniture Sales Associate, you need strong product knowledge, sales acumen, and customer service skills, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and basic design tools is typically required. Exceptional communication, active listening, and problem-solving abilities help you build rapport and address customer needs effectively. These skills are crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction, driving sales, and contributing to the store’s overall success.

Job description

In-Side Sales and Marketing Working in the Home Furnishing and accessory industry:

A great entry or re-entry position to learn Marketing and sales skills. Furniture Classics has an opportunity to join our new in-house sales and marketing team.

The ideal candidate processes:

  • Desire and ability to learn good sales and marketing skills.
  • Ability to embrace new ideas and changes.
  • Good communications skills with clear understandable diction over the phone.

You will be contacting existing customers and prospects to gain orders and reorders. The in-house sales and marketing team members travel 3 to 4 times a year to trade shows in Atlanta and High Point to meet and work with customers and prospects. The inside salesperson follows up on customers attending markets to assists them in putting together their orders and making recommendations. The sales person maintains and services their own customer base from our offices in Norfolk. Rather than traveling to see our customers in their stores, we work thru our website using “screen share” as if we were physically in front of them. You will be trained or retained by an industry professional in the skills and techniques of successful sales and marketing. This is not a customer service position, it is a sales and marketing job.

A questionnaire is required to be filled out prior to a telephone interview. Join us to learn great sales and marketing skills while you grow and earn.
