Job description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Furnace Loader that will be responsible for transporting and handling of parts between operations and departments.

ย 

Job Requirements:

  • Checks with etch department to determine which parts are finished and ready to move to heat treat or be cut.
  • Checks the ovens, charts and status of work in-progress and keeps the job moving to the next operation appropriately.
  • Take copies of travelers to production to inform them of status of job for planning.
  • Refer to daily schedule to determine priority of jobs to move into press ovens.
  • Check travelers to ensure the right oven temperature is being used.
  • Load ovens after confirming that the alloy and code for the job and traveler match.ย  (Alert Press Lead if it does not match).
  • Continually remove parts from press tables, place in baskets and move to etch.
  • Using a forklift, transport parts between operations.
  • Load and unload parts into cart or etching basket.
  • Maintain traceability when handling parts.
  • Keep accurate part-counts.
  • Strong commitment to good attendance and being on time as it is critical to meet the needs of needs.
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.

Skill Requirements:

  • English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehension).
  • Communicate with co-workers and supervisor.
  • Must be able to drive a forklift.
  • Survey the surrounding work area for pedestrian safety.
  • Understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Keep an accurate count of parts.
  • Work under direct supervision throughout shift.

Compensation: $18.50 - $20.00 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employeeโ€™s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
