Senior Technical Systems Analyst 6 Month Contract to Hire Active Secret Clearance or higher 4 days a week on-site, Arlington, VA Hourly Rate: $75/hr to $80/hr. W2. Benefits available Overview System One is seeking an experienced Technical Systems Analyst to support the implementation and ongoing evolution of a cloud-based Enterprise Data Platform in Microsoft Azure. This role serves as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, translating business objectives into actionable technical requirements and ensuring successful delivery of data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate goes beyond requirements documentation and can effectively understand business challenges, develop technical solutions, collaborate with engineering teams, and support delivery through testing, validation, and deployment. Work Schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance Key Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Technical Analyst, or similar role supporting enterprise IT initiatives

  • Facilitate requirements workshops, backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
Technical Partnership & Solution Delivery
  • Partner with Azure Cloud Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Data Engineers, Developers, and Data Analysts throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Support implementation and enhancement of enterprise data platform capabilities, including:
    • Data ingestion
    • Data integration
    • Data transformation
    • Analytics and reporting

  • Support requirements related to Azure-based data solutions and cloud ETL/ELT processes.
  • Track requirements through implementation and validate that delivered functionality meets business objectives.
Backlog & Project Management
  • Manage and prioritize work items using Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Maintain traceability from business requirements through development, testing, and deployment.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, assumptions, and constraints across initiatives.
  • Prepare project documentation, status reports, executive briefings, and technical documentation.
Process Improvement & Governance
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation, modernization, and improved data management.
  • Develop process flows, workflow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and functional documentation.
  • Support cloud-specific data governance initiatives and requirements.
  • Help stakeholders understand cloud consumption costs and how compute, storage, and usage patterns impact business cases and solution decisions.
Testing & Stakeholder Communication
  • Coordinate with QA teams and business stakeholders during testing, UAT, and production-readiness activities.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to audiences at all organizational levels, from engineers to executive stakeholders.
