Job Description

The Senior IT Project Manager SAP Infrastructure will lead complex SAP-related technology initiatives within the Information Technology department. This role manages infrastructure projects across multiple departments and external vendors, including SAP system upgrades, database migrations, and OS upgrades. The Project Manager is responsible for project planning, execution, budget and schedule management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication, following best practices and formal PMO methodologies. Success in this role requires hands-on technical project management expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and experience delivering infrastructure projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead SAP infrastructure-related projects including upgrades to SAP systems, databases, and operating systems.
  • Develop and maintain key project documents such as Project Charters, Management Plans, Requirements, Design Documents, Test Plans, and Implementation Plans.
  • Create and manage detailed project schedules and budgets using Microsoft Project and Enterprise Project Management (EPM) tools.
  • Track project risks, develop mitigation plans, and proactively resolve issues to keep projects on schedule.
  • Conduct regular status meetings, produce weekly project status reports, and present updates to executive leadership and PMO reviews.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including developing Statements of Work (SOWs) and evaluating vendor deliverables.
  • Maintain project documentation and reporting within SharePoint and ensure configuration and change management processes are followed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams, including technical leads, contractors, and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure all operational readiness and quality assurance milestones are met before project go-live.
  • Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and integrating feedback into future project planning.
