IT Mission Project Engineer

Our government relations consulting business area allows us to represent and support leaders in the defense, aerospace, intelligence, and related industries with decades of experience in market analysis and strategic planning.


We are looking for highly qualified candidates to support our Wallops Range Contract. This full-time position is located onsite at the Wallops Flight facility in Wallops Island, VA.


Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for project management of assigned information technology (IT) projects in support of mission/launch and/or facility requirements, which can include planning, design, testing, evaluation, cost analyses, program and project management and quality/risk management for assigned projects. Serves as the alternate project manager point of contact for all IT support required by programmatic and mission support. Translate requirements created by customers and missions/programs/projects into functional requirements by service area and RITSS capability; partners with engineers to design, develop, and deploy hybrid, specialized IT solutions and services. Serves as on-console support for mission launches to coordinate immediate service area response.


Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years with a BS degree in Computer Science, information technology, mathematics or a related technical field is required and a minimum of ten years of related experience, including experience in coordinating and directing the work of peers (a Masters degree in a technical field may substitute for three years of experience).

Clearance Requirements:

  • Position requires a Secret clearance.
  • Please Note: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Salary Range:

  • $75,000 - $120,000
