The qualifications for a career as a functional analyst include a bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology, excellent analytical and communications skills, and significant experience with computer systems. Some employers prefer you to have a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) with a specialization in information systems.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a functional analyst, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Functional Analyst, you need a solid background in business analysis, requirements gathering, and process modeling, often backed by a degree in business, IT, or a related field.
