Job description

About Battle & Birdie
Battle & Birdie is where elevated food, friendly competition, and good vibes collide. Between laser tag battles, mini-golf victories, and guests celebrating everything from birthdays to bragging rights, our kitchen keeps the fuel flowing. If you can handle heat from the grill and the occasional laser tag rematch, you'll fit right in.
We are prioritizing candidates with open availability on saturdays and weekday evenings availability.
Kitchen Operation Associate & Busser
Hourly Rate: $16 an hour
Job Location: 7407 Six Forks Road, Raleigh NC 27615
Availability: Flexible hours and availability to work Saturdays
What you'll do
As a Kitchen Ops Associate & Busser, you'll help power the fun-no laser blaster required (but bonus points if you can sink a hole-in-one ):
  • Assist with inventory checks and food storage logs
  • Follow food safety and sanitation practices like a pro
  • Ensure food quality and presentation are always hole-in-one worthy
  • Set up and stock food items and supplies so the kitchen is always game-ready
  • Work alongside an awesome team to keep guests happy, energized, and ready to play
  • Prep and mix ingredients by cutting, chopping, and creating sauces that bring the heat
  • Cook menu items using grilling, frying, and sautéing-because truffle fries don't cook themselves
  • Clean and sanitize cooking surfaces and equipment at the end of each shift-reset for the next round
  • Maintain a positive, professional attitude-even when the kitchen is busier than laser tag on a Saturday night
  • Execute elevated shareable favorites like flatbreads, wings, sliders, firecracker shrimp, and specialty egg rolls
  • Clear tables quickly and efficiently to keep guest areas clean, comfortable, and ready for the next group
  • Reset tables and dining areas with clean dishes, utensils, and supplies so every guest walks into a fresh space
  • Assist servers and bartenders by delivering food, refilling water, and helping maintain smooth service during busy game-time hours
  • Support overall guest experience by keeping dining areas tidy, removing trash, and ensuring floors and surfaces stay safe and clean

What you've got:
  • Accountability, integrity, and professionalism
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a team-first mindset
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak fun hours
  • Passion for delivering exceptional food and guest experiences
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Kitchen or food-service experience preferred, but we'll train the right teammate

Why You'll Love Working Here
  • Opportunities to grow with a fast-expanding brand
  • A high-energy workplace where fun is part of the job
  • A team that works hard, laughs often, and wins together
  • An elevated menu that goes way beyond standard bar food
  • Free entertainment energy-where else do you cook truffle fries while laser tag battles happen next door?

Perks You'll Love
Earn PTO (yes, even hourly team members!) through challenges & milestones
Free meals* during your shift
Free attractions* on your days off
Your birthday off
