Structural/Civil Engineer Associate

Job description

We are seeking a Structural/Civil Engineer with 0-10 years of structural/civil engineering experience, who is a self-starter, responsible, honest, and a hard worker who can lead others in the same work ethic to join our team.

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or related field, and 0-10 years post-degree experience
  • Desire to work in residential, commercial, and mixed-use industries.
  • Knowledge of basic materials design - wood, concrete, masonry, and steel.
  • Good technical writing skills in letters, reports, etc.
  • Good organization and communication skills via verbal conversations, emails, instant messages.
  • Experience with and knowledge of other engineering software – Excel, RISA, AutoCAD C3D, Enercalc, Bluebeam, Revit, Forte and others
  • Experience with building design - equivalent lateral force procedure, vertical & lateral design, detailing of connections, hardware

  • Experience with communicating with contractors, architects, and other project team members
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling techniques and interprets the results of those models.
