This role is critical to the administration, governance, security, and performance of Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse environments supporting federal government programs.The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical expertise, governance mindset, and collaborative communication skills, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant Power Platform solutions.Key Responsibilities:Power Platform Administration & Environment ManagementAdminister and manage environments using the Microsoft Power Platform Admin Center, including environments, licensing, and security configurations.Create, monitor, and control Dataverse environments, ensuring proper configuration, data policies, and lifecycle management.Support and oversee Power Apps and Power Automate solutions that integrate with Dataverse to enable business processes and applications.Implement platform governance using tools such as the Center of Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit to manage resources, enforce standards, and support platform adoption.Security, Compliance & GovernanceDesign, configure, and manage Dataverse security roles to control user and team access.Define and enforce granular access controls at the table, record, and column levels to protect sensitive data.Develop and enforce Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to prevent unauthorized data sharing and integration with external services.Configure and monitor auditing and logging, regularly reviewing audit logs to ensure compliance with organizational and federal requirements.Data Management & IntegrationDesign and maintain robust Dataverse data models, including tables, relationships, business rules, and logic.Perform database maintenance activities including bulk data operations, performance optimization, and data retention policies.Integrate Dataverse with external systems using connectors, dataflows, and APIs.Manage data migrations, imports, and exports using tools such as Power Query.Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance, aligning with organizational and federal data-handling policies.Collaboration & SupportTroubleshoot platform issues related to performance, security, integrations, and data access.Partner with developers, citizen developers, business stakeholders, and IT teams to deliver aligned and scalable solutions.Provide technical guidance and best practices to support secure and effective platform usage.Required QualificationsTechnical & Professional RequirementsMinimum of 5 years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse.Strong working knowledge of:Microsoft Power Platform Admin CenterDataverse environment and data managementPower Apps and Power AutomatePower Platform governance and CoE practicesExperience with:Security role design and access control in DataverseData Loss Prevention (DLP) policiesAuditing and compliance monitoringData modeling, integrations, and migrationsSoft Skills & CompetenciesStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.High level of attention to detail, particularly related to data integrity, security, and compliance.Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to learn in a rapidly evolving technology environment.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Physical and Mental Qualifications:Maintain focus and awareness throughout scheduled working hours.Perform tasks requiring prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk, utilizing a computer, mouse, and keyboard.Lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds as needed.Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.Quickly learn and retain routine tasks and processes.Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, business correspondence proficiency, and self-management capabilities.Perform the essential functions of the role satisfactorily; reasonable accommodation will be provided for employees with disabilities upon request.Accept and adapt to additional responsibilities or changes to assigned duties as determined by DirectViz Solutions (DVS).If you thrive on solving complex problems and building meaningful connections, we'd love to hear from you.
