Job description

Armitage Alehouse is looking for a dedicated and experienced Seasonal Full Time Host to join our team!

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 1 year of hosting experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant.

  • Passion for excellence, superior service standards, and a positive attitude.

  • Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift, including frequent bending, lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs, and stooping.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all stations are properly stocked and set up before and during service and complete any additional opening duties.

  • Manage all aspects of reservation systems: confirmation messages, checking in guests, special requests and celebrations, table plotting, updating floorplans, etc.

  • Lead guests to tables and follow Hogsalt standards for seating, distributing menus, and creating a great first impression at the table.

  • Anticipate the needs of guests and provide consistent, genuine, and generous service; create personal connections and use names whenever possible.

  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining room throughout service, including proper maintenance of all menus and other supplies.

  • Provide a warm welcome to each guest who enters the restaurant and acknowledge their departure at the end of their experience.

  • Address any guest needs or concerns as soon as possible; communicate any complaints or issues with food or service to leadership.

  • Complete all closing duties including closing sidework, general cleaning projects, and any additional tasks assigned by leadership.

  • Ensure all Hogsalt Steps Of Service not listed above are properly executed.
