Job description

Company Description

RES Exhibit Services creates brand experiences that inspire and perform. For 50 years, we have helped clients bring strategy, design, engineering, fabrication, and execution together under one roof to create custom exhibits, branded environments, and event experiences for high-visibility moments.

Today, RES is entering its next chapter with refreshed leadership, a sharper brand direction, new client momentum, and a renewed focus on clarity, accountability, creativity, and measurable results. We are looking for people who want to help build what comes next.

Job Description

The Exhibit Detailer plays a critical role in turning creative intent into accurate, buildable, and repeatable solutions. This role supports the full lifecycle of custom exhibit and experiential work by creating detailed documentation that guides materials, fabrication, CNC output, installation, reconfiguration, and long-term asset use.

This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented, hands-on problem solver who wants to work close to the strategy and close to the build. The ideal candidate collaborates with Design, Project Management, Client Services, Fabrication, Print Production, and RES leadership to help deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

The right person will take pride in precise drawings, clear documentation, smart use of materials, and practical solutions that help our teams build with confidence.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty.

Productivity:
  • Create detailed drawings related to Bills of Materials (BOM), construction, and installation of exhibits.
  • Reconfigure existing properties to develop new booth layouts and configurations.
  • Work within established project budgets and utilize resources/materials efficiently to minimize waste.
  • Maximize the return on RES’s investment in design engineering and CNC technology.
  • Operate and maintain proficiency in computers, software, and file management systems.
  • Communication:
  • Produce clear, accurate illustrated and written documentation.
  • Effectively communicate design intent and specifications to internal teams and clients.
  • Maintain awareness of departmental schedules, priorities, and workloads.
  • Provide leadership and share expertise in all aspects of design engineering.
  • Develop documentation and training materials to support design engineering processes.
  • Quality Control & Maintenance:
  • Establish and maintain exceptional, competitive design engineering and manufacturing standards.
  • Ensure all hardware and software remain in optimal operating condition.
  • Research and introduce innovative offerings, techniques, and materials to enhance capabilities.
  • Maintain an uptodate library of resources, materials, and fabrication techniques.
  • Organize and manage all job archives for easy retrieval and historical accuracy.
  • Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, architecture or engineering or other relevant discipline preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the exhibit industry.
  • What Success Looks Like
  • Drawings, BOMs, and documentation are clear, accurate, and usable by the teams responsible for building, staging, installing, and maintaining the work.
  • Creative concepts are translated into practical solutions that support quality, efficiency, budget awareness, and client expectations.
  • Internal teams have the information they need to make confident decisions and execute with fewer surprises.
  • Existing assets are reconfigured thoughtfully so RES can create smart, profitable solutions for clients.
  • Why Join RES Now

This role offers meaningful work tied to real projects, direct interaction with cross-functional teams, and the chance to contribute to custom physical environments that can be seen, touched, assembled, and remembered.

For someone who values accuracy, craftsmanship, problem-solving, and accountability, this is a chance to help shape the next version of RES while doing work that is different from project to project.
