Job Description

Platinum Ford North is seeking a dynamic Automotive Service Writer. While your title is Service Writer, your role is that of a professional Service Advisor. This is a  vital link between our customers and our technical team. You will be responsible for managing the entire customer experience, from the initial greeting on the drive to the final delivery of their vehicle.

The ideal candidate has a "customer-first" mentality, strong sales aptitude, and the ability to translate complex technical needs into clear, actionable advice for our guests. If you are looking for a high-volume environment where your performance directly impacts your paycheck, we want to hear from you.

Pay:

$48,000 - $96,000 (Commission + Base)

Work Requirements
  • Active Driver’s License with a clean driving record is required.

  • Ability to commute to Pilot Point, TX.

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

  • Previous experience in automotive service writing or high-level retail sales is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Consultative Service: Greet customers promptly and professionally, performing a full vehicle walk-around on the service drive.

  • Expert Advisor: Identify and recommend necessary maintenance and repairs based on vehicle inspections, history, and manufacturer intervals.

  • Workflow Management: Create detailed repair orders, obtain customer authorization, and coordinate with the Shop Foreman to ensure timely completion.

  • Proactive Communication: Provide consistent updates to customers via phone, text, and email regarding the status of their vehicle and any additional findings.

  • Quality Assurance: Review all completed work with the guest, explaining repairs in detail and ensuring total satisfaction before vehicle delivery.

  • CSI Excellence: Maintain top-tier Customer Service Index (CSI) scores in accordance with Platinum Ford and manufacturer standards.

Qualifications
  • Proven track record in a customer-facing sales or service role.

  • Exceptional multitasking skills with the ability to manage a high volume of repair orders daily.

  • Basic understanding of automotive systems and preventative maintenance.

  • Proficiency with dealership DMS software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Dealertrack).

  • Professional appearance and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
