Shipping ClerkThe Shipping Clerk will be responsible for but not limited to answering phones, scheduling shipments, data entry, problem solving and working closely with our internal customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Record shipments and inventories in SAP (must know SAP T-codes)
- Coordinate, and maintain shipping/receiving requests and documents
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, including creating BOLs
- Create complete receiving and shipping transactions
- Ensure compliance for the Shipping Department to all company and government safety standards.
- Prepare reports and file shipping/receiving records
- Assist in resolving any daily shipping and receiving discrepancies
Qualifications, Education and Required Skills- Proficiency with database applications (SAP)- THREE YEARS EXPERIENCE
- Must be willing to work flexible and extended hours as required, including some weekends.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Possess a current valid State Driver's License
- Possess a Valid TWIC card at time of hire.
- The ability to read, write, understand and speak English
- A minimum of one year of previous work experience
- Detail oriented; Strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Demonstrated good internal customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
Previous experience in dispatch, warehousing or transportation a plus but not required.
