WHO YOU ARE:

We are currently looking for a Store Planning & Construction Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Construction, the Store Planning & Construction Coordinator will work in collaboration with and assist both the Project Manager of Development & Construction, and the Senior Construction Project Coordinator by supporting all store openings and acting as the main liaison in the construction and design process.

The Store Planning & Construction Coordinator's main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting store opening process
  • Coordination of construction
  • Communicating effectively with architects, contractors, sub-contractors, vendors and internal departments
  • Coordination of drawing production for new stores and special projects
  • Production and review of full architectural drawings (MEP & Structural, if required)
  • Submitting architectural drawings for permit and landlord approval
  • Revisions of Construction drawings
  • Drawing management (distribution, filing, printing, etc.)
  • Coordination for tender with vendors
  • Placing procurement orders
  • Obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
  • Managing site information and landlord contact information
  • Managing construction weekly updates, progess photos and RFIs submittals
  • Compiling all documents required by the architect and engineer for sign-off letters
  • Completing punchlist walkthroughs - virtual or on site when required
  • Providing deficiency list and managing execution of all deficiencies
  • Ensuring projects are within budget guidelines
  • Ensuring that the execution is representative of the quality design and brand image of Ardene
  • Coordinating rollout schedules with vendors as well as Visual, Leasing and Operations departments
  • Other projects as required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Education in interior design, architecture, architectural technology or related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years of design and construction experience in commercial retail/hospitality
  • Knowledge of Real Estate, Store Design, Construction, renovation processes, fixturing processes & building systems
  • Understanding of materials, fabrication methods and construction details
  • Basic understanding of construction industry standards, building codes, and other authorities with jurisdiction
  • High levels of creativity and aesthetic sense
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, MS Office and G-Suite
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator
  • 3D modeling and renderings Sketchup an asset
  • Knowledge of green building design concepts and practices an asset
  • Exceptional organizational skills, comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and negociation skills, and ability to problem-solve
  • Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
  • Driver's license and access to a vehicle considered an asset
    • Limited travel will be expected to verify site conditions (if required).
