Waterproofing Estimator/Project Manager โ€“ Protect and Restore Landmark Commercial Structures Job Overview

The Opportunity

You will take a lead role in protecting high-value assets by delivering precise waterproofing solutions for commercial and federal clients. This position offers a unique chance to join a growing, family-owned business where your technical accuracy and leadership directly impact the company's expansion. You will have no ceiling on your professional growth as you manage complex restoration projects from initial bid to final completion.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Evaluate complex project requirements through on-site assessments of surface conditions, material needs, and specialized equipment.

  • Analyze blueprints and technical specifications to develop comprehensive and competitive cost estimates for waterproofing systems.

  • Secure competitive pricing by negotiating with material suppliers and managing vendor relationships effectively.

  • Coordinate with the Superintendent to lead crews in the field, ensuring they have the support needed to meet project milestones.

  • Monitor project budgets and expenses closely to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining the highest quality standards.

  • Facilitate ongoing communication with clients to provide progress updates and address project changes with professional transparency.

  • Enforce strict safety protocols and quality control measures to ensure every project complies with industry regulations and permits.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in waterproofing estimation and project management within the construction or restoration industry.

  • Proficiency in digital takeoff and project management software, specifically Bluebeam, Procore, and Excel.

  • Solid understanding of business principles, including budgeting, cost controls, and profit margin maintenance.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced field environment.

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience with specialized waterproofing membranes, sealants, and industrial coating systems.

  • Proven track record of managing federal or government restoration contracts.

  • Experience in leading technical training or safety orientations for field personnel.

  • Bilingual in Spanish.
