Job description

AGV Supervisor | 2 PM Shift

Location: Hartford, CT
Pay: $47,500 to $52,500 per year
Schedule: Full-time, 2:00 PM start
Department: Operations

Epic Personnel Partners is hiring an AGV Supervisor for a high-volume grocery distribution facility in Hartford. This position oversees the facility’s Automated Guided Vehicles, or AGVs, which are robotic systems used to move products throughout the warehouse.

We are looking for a hands-on supervisor who is comfortable working with warehouse automation, managing employees, troubleshooting operational issues, and keeping products moving safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily AGV operations during the 2 PM shift
  • Monitor robotic equipment, system alerts, traffic flow, and performance
  • Assign tasks and provide direction to AGV operators and warehouse team members
  • Respond quickly to equipment interruptions, obstructions, and operational issues
  • Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and technical support teams
  • Ensure AGVs are properly charged, staged, and ready for operation
  • Track productivity, downtime, incidents, and shift performance
  • Train employees on AGV procedures and warehouse safety requirements
  • Enforce company policies, safety standards, and proper operating procedures
  • Communicate shift updates, equipment issues, and staffing needs to management
  • Help identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and productivity

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, automation, or operations experience
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with AGVs, robotics, automated systems, conveyors, or warehouse equipment is a plus
  • Comfortable using computers, warehouse systems, and basic reporting tools
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to remain calm and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work the 2 PM shift, including overtime or weekends when required
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work throughout a large distribution facility
