Visual Merchandiser Lead Full-Time
Position Summary
The Visual Merchandiser Lead plays a vital role in creating a friendly and inspiring shopping experience that aligns with E amp;H Hardware Group's mission. This position is responsible for executing in-store merchandising strategies, with a primary focus on the gift department, “The Nook.” The Visual Merchandiser Lead will design, implement, and maintain eye-catching displays that enhance the customer journey and contribute to overall store sales. This role requires collaboration with store teams, buyers, and category managers to ensure the store reflects local customer preferences and seasonal trends.

Essential Functions

Gift Department Visual Merchandising
  • Define, design, and implement appealing visual displays that lead the customer through the shopping journey in E amp;H’s gift department concept, “The Nook.”
  • Regularly update displays to promote new products and reflect seasonal themes, keeping a sense of discovery alive.
  • Ensure merchandise is fully stocked, fronted, faced, and dusted.
  • Collaborate with the gift department buyer and category manager to maintain a well-stocked department with core and seasonal goods tailored to local customer preferences.
  • Update and maintain promotional materials as needed.
Hardware Store Visual Merchandising
  • Execute monthly hardware endcaps according to pre-defined plan-o-grams, including promotional signage and pricing.
  • Ensure execution of monthly promotional store signage and other merchandising programs as assigned.
  • Assist store teams with strategic placement and merchandising of general floor displays, shippers, clip strips, and other promotional programs.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
  • Proven work experience as a visual merchandiser.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of merchandising planning, presentation, and space planning.
Skills:
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain clean and organized backstock.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision and maintain a balanced schedule.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with customers, employees, and store teams.
  • Ability to cross-collaborate effectively with managers to drive sales.
Additional Requirements:

Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
