Show Tech Video 1 | Touring & Live Events Focus
Location: Orlando, FL | Las Vegas, NV | Nashville, TN
Schedule: Full Time | Touring & Event Based
Company: LMG
Pay: $35 - $47.50/hr
This role is all about touring and live events. As a Show Tech Video 1, you will be on the front lines of high profile shows, traveling to venues, setting up video systems, operating gear during events, and ensuring every show runs at the highest quality standard. If you love being in the action and working in fast paced event environments, this is the role for you.
What You'll Be Doing
✅ Focus primarily on touring and live event video execution
✅ Review schedules, contracts, and show documentation to prepare for events
✅ Plan equipment needs and communicate pull lists for each show
✅ Travel to venues and assess space, power, and setup requirements
✅ Receive, inspect, and verify equipment against manifests
✅ Set up, test, tune, and operate video systems during live events
✅ Act as Lead Show Technician or as part of a touring crew when assigned
✅ Communicate with clients to understand priorities and represent LMG on site
✅ Direct technicians and freelance labor to meet time and quality standards
✅ Troubleshoot technical issues quickly in high pressure environments
✅ Operate equipment during shows to match client requirements
✅ Secure, strike, pack, and load equipment for transport after events
✅ Complete show reports documenting hours, equipment, and issues
✅ Maintain awareness of new video technology and attend training as needed
What We're Looking For
Minimum 3 years of experience in the AV industry
Strong interest in touring and live event production
Technical degree or equivalent hands on experience
Ability to travel regularly and work non traditional hours
Comfortable working in high profile, fast paced environments
