About the Company:
Founded in 2017 by Anthony and Joe Russo, AGBO is an artist-led independent studio shaping the future of film and television. The Russo Brothers and AGBO have generated more than $7 billion at the global box office, including Avengers: Endgame. The studio's projects include Academy Award-winning Everything Everywhere All at Once, Netflix hits The Gray Man and Extraction, and Prime Video's visceral thriller The Bluff and the global Citadel franchise. Citadel Season 2 premieres in May 2026.
AGBO is currently in production with Netflix on Tygo and Mercenary, both part of the Extraction universe, as well as with Lionsgate on John Rambo, a prequel to the iconic franchise. The studio is in post-production on The Whisper Man, starring Robert De Niro, and Avengers: Doomsday, which will be released December 18, 2026. AGBO will begin shooting Avengers: Secret Wars later this year. Both upcoming Avengers films are directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and co-produced by AGBO and Marvel Studios.

Mustard brings a bold creative vision to AGBO: to expand what storytelling can be through immersive, interconnected worlds that span across media. About the Position:
As a Senior Level Designer, you will play a key role in bringing game worlds to life through both gameplay design and visual storytelling. You will design and build gameplay spaces, including test maps and sandbox environments, that support system iteration and player experience development. Working closely with Design, Art, and Engineering, you'll help shape player-facing gameplay spaces while ensuring alignment between mechanics, pacing, and visual direction.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop greybox levels and test maps to support gameplay exploration, pacing, and player experience.
  • Integrate environment art assets into gameplay spaces, ensuring strong composition, readability, and support for visual storytelling.
  • Collaborate closely with combat, systems, and engineering teams to help implement gameplay scenarios while maintaining performance targets and player flow.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support the implementation of shared environment assets and contribute to consistent world-building across environments.
  • Contribute to worldbuilding, space planning, and the development of modular design approaches.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • 5-8 years of experience in level design and/or environment art roles, preferably with hybrid experience; bonus if you've supported or contributed to a live service game.
  • Strong worldbuilding instincts with a solid understanding of gameplay space design, player flow, and environmental storytelling.
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5, with hands-on experience in both greybox design and art implementation workflows.
  • A strong eye for layout, lighting, and visual clarity in 3D environments.
  • Comfortable collaborating across disciplines-design, art, and engineering-and contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Experience working on action, narrative, or exploration-driven titles.
  • Familiarity with modular asset workflows and real-time optimization techniques.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring other team members in an art or design context.
  • Bonus: Previous experience working on early-phase projects or in fast-paced development environments.
  • Bonus: Interest in film, cross-medium storytelling, worldbuilding, or experimental gameplay.
