Job description

Full Time Veterinary Surgery Technician Position available! Kingstowne Cat Clinic is a full service feline-only veterinary practice located in South Alexandria. We offer competitive pay and benefits such as paid time off, health insurance, 401K, and pet health care discounts. Duties include but are not limited to: assisting doctors during appointments in the morning and in the afternoon, patient restraint, surgical prep & monitoring, dental prophy and taking digital dental x-rays. Skills must include the ability to place IV catheters, monitor anesthesia, and perform in house labwork. Client contact is required such as discharging patients and answering client inquiries either in person or over the phone. Applicant must be available every morning starting at 7:30am and ending a shift at 6pm. Ideal applicant will be reliable and have their own transportation as the clinic is not near a Metro stop. Applicant must have a cheerful, respectful, professional demeanor. MUST LOVE CATS! Applicants must have prior veterinary clinic surgery experience and references will be checked.
