We are seeking a Systems Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced inspection tools used in leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing. This role involves designing and running experiments, analyzing data, and developing algorithm prototypes to solve complex technical challenges. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team and interface with customers to support the deployment and improvement of inspection solutions on some of the most advanced semiconductor devices. 

The position requires a strong foundation in programming, data analysis, and image processing, as well as the ability to communicate technical findings effectively. Success in this role depends on applying sound engineering principles, collaborating with experienced professionals across disciplines, and driving innovation through hands-on experimentation and problem-solving. The ideal candidate can work independently, make reasonable engineering tradeoffs, ask good questions, and drive work from investigation through recommendation or implementation. 


Responsibilities
    • Develop new features and capabilities for semiconductor inspection tools 

    • Design and run experiments to test algorithms and hardware performance under real-world conditions 

    • Prototype and implement algorithms using Python  

    • Analyze large data sets to evaluate system behavior and guide system behavior using Pandas, Exensio, and machine learning tools 

    • Document findings and present technical results to both internal teams and external customers 

    • Investigate customer-reported issues and contribute to field support with data-driven insights 

    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software, hardware, and applications engineering 

    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to refine tools, processes, and product capabilities 


Qualifications
    • Masters degree or higher in CS, EE, ME, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or related field 

    • 1-5 yrs Python / Java / C++ or similar programming language 

    • Technical assessment: Python/data analysis coding assessment. Candidate should demonstrate ability to write, debug, and explain code independently, analyze a technical dataset, and communicate findings clearly. 

    • Experience with data analysis (Pandas, NumPy, etc.) and image processing (OpenCV or similar) 

    • Experience with data visualization (Spotfire, Pyplot/Seaborn, Matlab, Tableau, etc.) 

    • Good oral and written communication skills 

    Nice to Have 
    (Add at least 3-4 nice to haves for this role) 

    • Some exposure to HDL (Verilog, System Verilog, VHDL) 

    • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing process.  Cleanroom experience. 

    • Experience with electron microscopes (SEM, TEM) or other ebeam or semiconductor test equipment. 

    • LabView experience is a plus 


Pay Range
USD $130,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.Qualifications:
