  • Job Title: Irrigation Installation Technician
    Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
    Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, with weekend work as needed
    License Requirement: Must have a valid driver's license
    Position Summary
    The Irrigation Installation Technician is responsible for safely and efficiently performing irrigation installation and service tasks with minimal supervision. This role supports Yard-Nique Inc.'s commitment to quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction while maintaining a positive and collaborative team environment.
    Work Environment
    Work is conducted primarily outdoors and requires physical labor in various weather conditions. Employees may be exposed to dirt, water, noise, chemicals, and other environmental factors.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform irrigation system start-ups, including inspection of clocks, backflow devices, zones, heads, valves, and rain sensors
    • Conduct system shut-downs such as blowing out lines, winterizing backflow systems, and deactivating controllers or pumps
    • Troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems on-site; maintain an organized inventory of parts in the service vehicle
    • Conduct property inspections and complete required forms accurately before leaving the site
    • Communicate system status and updates clearly to department heads, account managers, and other stakeholders
    • Complete daily paperwork, including accurate tracking of billable and non-billable hours
    • Fulfill service contract tasks efficiently and independently
    • Adhere to all safety policies; report any unsafe conditions or incidents
    • Safely use tools and equipment such as shovels, wire tracers, hoses, and quick coupler keys
    • Interact courteously and professionally with clients, account managers, and subcontractors
    • Train and support other team members as needed
    • Conduct routine vehicle safety checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness
    • Consistently demonstrate integrity and professionalism as a representative of Yard-Nique Inc.

    Physical Requirements
    • Must be at least 18 years old to operate power equipment
    • Ability to bend, kneel, climb, walk, and lift throughout the workday

    • Functional vision, including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
