Job Description:
The University of Florida is looking for an Email Marketing Specialist to support strategic enrollment marketing and communication initiatives that engage prospective students throughout their recruitment journey. In this role, you will execute multi-channel communication campaigns through CRM platforms, develop audience segmentation strategies, manage email marketing automation, and collaborate with Enrollment Management partners to increase awareness, engagement, and enrollment at the University of Florida.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Enrollment Communications
  • Collaborate with the Enrollment Marketing and Communications team to execute the annual enrollment communication plan through CRM platforms.
  • Develop and implement communication campaigns that support divisional enrollment goals and priorities.
  • Partner with Enrollment Management functional units to create effective communication and marketing strategies that increase engagement with prospective students.
  • Manage email marketing initiatives, including audience segmentation, personalization, testing, scheduling, automation, and deployment.
  • Ensure communications align with university branding standards and messaging objectives.
  • Create and maintain communication templates and campaign assets within the CRM.

Marketing Automation
  • Create, manage, and maintain target audience reports and communication lists within CRM systems.
  • Develop audience segmentation strategies to support personalized communication efforts.
  • Maintain communication workflows and automation processes to ensure accurate and timely outreach.
  • Leverage CRM functionality to improve campaign performance and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a resource for CRM-related communication processes and best practices.

Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Utilize enrollment and prospect data to support strategic communication initiatives across undergraduate, graduate, certificate, and professional student populations.
  • Generate reports and audience selections to support marketing and recruitment activities.
  • Assist stakeholders with CRM reporting and data requests.
  • Analyze communication performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with functional partners and CRM users across Enrollment Management.

Other Duties
  • Stay current on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in marketing automation and digital communications, recommending innovative solutions to improve engagement and operational outcomes.
  • Evaluate communication workflows and champion process improvements, documentation, and automation strategies that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
  • Perform other related duties and support special projects in support of divisional initiatives and operational needs.

Expected Salary:
$50,000 annually

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to be resourceful, proactive, and seek assistance as needed.
  • Experience with CRMs such as Salesforce, Slate, HubSpot etc.
  • Google Analytics and Google Ads experience.
  • Familiarity with WCAG 2.1.
  • Knowledge of email compliance regulations.
  • Familiarity with email marketing and marketing automation technology.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with others, adapting approach to suit the needs of various audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
