Job Description:
Responsibilities will include performing nucleic acid purification and PCR, preparing buffers and solutions, assisting in molecular diagnostics, experimental setup and data collection, conducting routine laboratory maintenance and organization, and assisting with general lab tasks, such as ordering supplies and restocking inventory. The ideal candidate will have experience in molecular biology techniques, laboratory safety, aseptic techniques, and an interest in aquatic animal disease research and diagnostics. The position is temporary (up to 20 hours per week) and compensates between $16/hr and $18/hr. Expected Salary:
$16.00 - $18.00 / hourly
Required Qualifications:
- at least 18 years old
- high school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
Experience in fish husbandry, knowledge of molecular biology techniques, laboratory safety, and aseptic techniques, and an interest in aquatic animal disease research
