Project Overview:
The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is fueling unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy. In response to this market trend, the Renewables & Clean Power (R&CP) team have signed an early works contract to build one of the largest gas fired power generation facilities in the U.S.
The Cheyenne CCGT project is of significant scale and complexity, and our team is helping the customer progress early-stage development, that would lead to the start of full EPC delivery this year.
Job Summary:
The Turnover Manager is responsible for leading project turnover, system completion, and handover activities from construction through commissioning and startup. The role coordinates Construction, Quality, Engineering, Project Controls, and Commissioning teams to ensure systems are completed, tested, documented, and turned over in accordance with project requirements and schedule objectives. #LI-RM1
Major Responsibilities:
  • Lead the project turnover & system completion program
  • Manage Mechanical Completion, System Completion, & Turnover activities
  • Coordinate Construction, Quality, Engineering, & Commissioning teams to achieve turnover milestones
  • Oversee turnover databases, completion management systems, & turnover documentation
  • Monitor turnover progress and develop recovery plans as needed
  • Lead turnover readiness reviews and system handovers to Commissioning
  • Provide turnover status reporting, forecasting, and performance metrics
  • Support client and subcontractor turnover interfaces
  • Develop turnover execution strategies and milestone plans
  • Coordinate turnover priorities with Construction, Project Controls, & Commissioning teams
  • Identify and mitigate constraints impacting system completion and startup readiness
  • Ensure turnover activities comply with the project's Zero Accident Philosophy
  • Verify turnover packages, test records, & quality documentation meet project requirements
  • Support audits, readiness reviews, & system acceptance activities
  • Lead system completion, mechanical completion, testing, & turnover processes
  • Resolve issues affecting turnover readiness & commissioning milestones
  • Support successful handover of systems to Commissioning & Startup organizations

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and 10-13 years of relevant experience, or 14-17 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Experience leading turnover and system completion programs on large EPC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical Completion, turnover processes, commissioning interfaces, and completion management systems.
  • Proven leadership, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with construction automation and turnover tracking systems.
  • Previous Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) project experience is preferred.
