Job Summary

At Tindell's, our core values guide everything we do. We are seeking a highly organized, analytical, and communicative Truss Production Scheduler to manage our manufacturing, Engineered Wood Products (EWP), and delivery schedules.

In this role, you will act as the central operational hub and primary customer service liaison for our Truss Division. You will coordinate directly between Design, Sales, the Shop, and our Customers to ensure seamless, on-time deliveries. If you thrive on keeping complex logistics moving smoothly, managing data, and solving puzzles in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.

Key ResponsibilitiesScheduling & Logistics Management
  • Daily Schedule Maintenance: Actively manage and update all jobs within the MiTek scheduling system daily, ensuring every job is updated at least once every 7 days.

  • Production Releasing: Confirm that all jobs are completely ready before releasing/batching orders (both Truss & EWP) to the shop floor.

  • Delivery Coordination: Re-confirm exact delivery dates with customers/sales 1 to 2 days before loading. Actively manage and override delivery minutes on the schedule to combine loads and maximize efficiency.

  • Call-In Orders: Promptly field, process, and input incoming call-in jobs into the MiTek system.

Data Analysis & Performance Tracking
  • Logistics Analysis: Monitor key logistics metrics (availability, reliability, and strategic distribution) to ensure company and customer goals are met.

  • Long-Term Planning: Maintain and analyze 30-, 60-, and 90-day indicator trends to anticipate volume shifts.

  • Continuous Improvement: Track product flows from origin to final delivery, analyze backorders, and update departmental process documentation.

Customer Service & Liaison
  • Inbound Communications: Manage a high volume of emails and handle phone system routing professionally.

  • Proactive Outreach: Connect directly with Sales and Customers to secure approvals and finalize outstanding balances.

  • Conflict Resolution: Propose and execute timely solutions to customer scheduling and delivery issues.

  • Technical & Math Skills: Strong computer literacy, including intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Strong basic math skills are required.

  • Critical Thinking & System Analysis: Ability to determine how changes in scheduling conditions or the production environment will affect overall delivery outcomes.

  • Outstanding Communication: Exceptional reading comprehension, active listening, and oral expression skills to handle heavy daily email and phone traffic.

  • Personal Attributes: A self-starter with a positive "can-do" attitude and a meticulous eye for detail.
