As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Palm Tree Kids & Parenthood PC, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for clients and families.
• Providing therapy sessions to couples, families, and individual clients, focusing on communication, conflict resolution, and emotional wellness.
• Facilitating workshops and group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing coping strategies and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborating with other healthcare providers and specialists to ensure an integrative approach to patient care.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Engaging in continuous professional development to hone your therapeutic skills and knowledge of best practices in the field.

Your work will encompass a diverse range of clients, including:

• Couples experiencing relationship difficulties, such as communication challenges, conflicts, and emotional disconnect.
• Families dealing with issues related to blended family dynamics, parenting, and adjustment to separation or divorce.
• Individuals grappling with mental health challenges, including grief and loss, trauma, addiction, and medical issues.
• Children and adolescents requiring support to navigate life transitions, emotional struggles, and behavioral concerns.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

While not mandatory, the following experiences and skills will be advantageous for candidates:

• Previous experience in a community health clinic setting, particularly with family systems therapy.
• Experience in teletherapy and knowledge of relevant digital healthcare tools.
• A solid understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds and their impact on mental health.
• Proficient in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care methodologies.
