Software Engineer Lead
This position is based in Plano, TX.

We're looking for a Software Engineer Lead, who brings deep technical expertise, a strong sense of ownership, and a track record of driving meaningful outcomes.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you'll play a central part in shaping the direction of critical systems, translating complex designs into scalable, real-world solutions. You'll partner closely with enterprise architects and stakeholders in a fast-moving Agile environment, navigating ambiguity with confidence and clarity. From building core features to mentoring engineers and influencing architecture, you'll be directly involved in the systems that matter most.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Implement complex architecture in collaboration with enterprise architects, contributing actively to development efforts.
  • Work with stakeholders in Agile environments to align technical solutions with business priorities.
  • Bring structure to ambiguous requirements through sound engineering judgment and initiative.
  • Own critical components, driving performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Mentor junior engineers and elevate team standards through code reviews and technical leadership.
  • Uphold best practices in testing, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring quality and scalability.

What you bring
  • 12+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proven experience in software development with a solid technical foundation with relevant experience in Java, Spring boot, NodeJS, REST API, Real time streaming architectures, microservices architecture patterns.
  • Proven experience delivering cloud-native applications on AWS or other major cloud platforms.
  • Command of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Object Oriented Design (OOD), and event-driven architecture in real-world systems
  • Solid background in microservices and REST APIs.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions), version control, and DevOps tooling.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Document DB.
  • Hands-on knowledge of of Kubernetes/ Amazon ECS, containerization, and deployment automation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
  • Full ownership mindset-writing, testing, and validating your own code to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across architecture, engineering, and product teams.

Added bonus if you have
  • Experience working in FinTech or other highly regulated, enterprise-scale environments.
  • Exposure to LLM workflows or integrating ML models into production systems.
  • Familiarity with scalable messaging platforms such as Kafka or other streaming technologies.
