Employment Opportunity: Junior Project Engineer - Heavy Construction/ Demolition

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Project Engineer to join our growing heavy construction team. The ideal candidate is eager to learn the business from the ground up and assist in the coordination, planning, and execution of large-scale public works, site development, and demolition projects throughout the five boroughs.

Salary Range: 65,000 – 85,000 per year, Commensurate with experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project management and field supervision teams with day-to-day operations • Assist in quantity takeoffs, Estimating support, cost tracking, and schedule updates • Prepare submittals, RFIs, and as-built documentation
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams
  • Monitor field progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards • Contribute to job site layout, surveying, and data collection as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 0–3 years of construction experience in heavy construction or demolition (internship experience acceptable); public and private sector project experience preferred. • Safety or industry certifications are highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
