Job description

  • A working stage electrician that designs lighting for all in-house produced shows and coordinates lighting design requirements with the appropriate agent for any incoming star performer, stage production, convention or industrial shows.
  • Provides Family Style Service at all times.
  • Will work any technician positions as required.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor of Arts in theatre with concentration in technical theatre or 4 years of documented employment as stage technician in all phases of technical stage production, including crafts, rigging, electronic, audio and production management.

  • Six (6) years of documented employment as lighting designer for theatre, dance, revues, variety and television, to include crew supervision.

  • Lighting portfolio required. 

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must have ability to perform duties and lead staff with minimal supervision. 

  • Required to perform the customer service standards of the department.

  • Knowledgeable of the Casino Control Act and Attendant Regulations, as well as company internal controls, policies, and procedures.

  • Responsible for drafting lighting plots, dimmer, color media and circuit patching schedules; programming lighting controller, specifying lighting equipment and stock purchases maintaining inventory control and equipment servicing.

  • Capable of calling all lighting cues for all shows.

  • Oversees lighting technicians and coordinates performance related crew schedules with stage manager.

  • Must be able to perform job duties satisfactorily with a minimal amount of supervision.
