Express Employment is seeking an experienced Grill Cook / Kitchen Manager to join a locally family-owned and operated Soul Food Kitchen. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has experience with authentic Southern cooking, takes pride in their craft, and leads with respect, consistency, and accountability.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as a hands-on Grill Cook, preparing food to order with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Cook and assemble menu items according to customer specifications and quality standards
  • Cook Catering/Large Orders
  • Lead, direct, organize, and support all kitchen staff and daily kitchen operations
  • Maintain smooth workflow during service by managing the line and coordinating staff
  • Uphold food safety, cleanliness, and consistency across all kitchen stations
  • Be open to learning and embracing the kitchen's established style while helping enhance and improve operations

Qualifications
  • Previous experience required as a Grill Cook, Line Cook, and/or Kitchen Manager
  • Strong, proven grill cooking experience with the ability to work fast and efficiently
  • Hands-on leadership experience in a kitchen environment
  • Experience with Southern-style cuisine strongly preferred
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to lead by example
