Job description

Position Summary

The Telecommunications Project Manager/Supervisor (PM) provides normal project management functions including technical leadership, quality assurance, and decision-oriented recommendations.


Individual must be able to attain and maintain a valid U.S. Government security clearance in order to be retained in the position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Familiarity with Government logistics and operations.
  • Manage daily operations, coordinate workloads, and supervise on-site technical staff.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the government's Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
  • Track trouble tickets, administer the contract, and manage government-provided equipment.
  • Evaluate telecommunications systems, develop infrastructure upgrade proposals, and coordinate strategic scheduling.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of project management or managerial experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of 3 college credit hours in AutoCAD.
  • Experience: 10 years of telecommunications technician experience and at least 5 years of project management or managerial experience.
  • Certifications: Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) training, including active Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
  • Must show two years experience utilizing Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Skill & Certification Requirements

  • Evaluate telecommunications systems, develop infrastructure upgrade proposals, and coordinate strategic scheduling.
  • Possess effective management, organization, and problem solving skills
  • Have a working knowledge of Government logistics and operations
  • Must have ten years telecommunications technician experience
  • Must have Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) training to include being a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certified
  • Must have, at a minimum, 3 college credit hours of AutoCAD
  • Highly proficient in business software applications (i.e.: Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong ability to lead, guide, and mentor personnel and multi—task
  • Position requires sitting, for long periods of time. (Sedentary Work)
  • Most duties require extended use of a keyboard and computer monitor
  • Extended Telephone Use
  • May require lifting of 20-50 lbs
