Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Metrapolis, you will:

  • Provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families, focusing on both mental health and relationship dynamics.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.
  • Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
  • Facilitate both in-person and telehealth sessions, adhering to HIPAA compliance to ensure client confidentiality and safety.
  • Engage in regular supervision and collaboration with other mental health professionals to enhance therapeutic practices and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records in electronic health record (EHR) systems and adhere to documentation standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, all of whom are seeking guidance through various challenges, such as trauma, grief, relationship issues, and mental health concerns. A commitment to understanding and respecting cultural diversities is essential, as many clients will come from varied linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Your fluency in both English and Spanish will be invaluable in providing effective communication and support.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s Degree from an accredited program in Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Active and unrestricted LMFT license to practice in Oregon.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey empathy and understanding effectively.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health setting, ideally within a behavioral health context.
  • Proficient in using EHR and Microsoft Office software.
  • Willingness to work at least two evenings per week and one weekend day.
Preferred Experience

We welcome candidates who have specialized knowledge or training in areas such as trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, grief and loss, and perinatal mental health. Experience working as an in-network provider for insurance panels is also preferred. A track record of demonstrating cultural competence in clinical practice will set you apart.
