Quality Inspector

Position Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting parts, materials, finished products, and in-process work to verify compliance with specifications and company requirements. This position works closely with production and leadership to identify defects, document findings, and support continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect raw materials, in-process parts, and finished goods for quality and conformance.
  • Use measuring tools and inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other testing devices.
  • Review product specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Document inspection results and report nonconforming material.
  • Communicate quality issues to production and supervision in a timely manner.
  • Support corrective action and process improvement efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow company quality procedures.
  • Assist with other quality-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred.
  • Ability to read drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use measuring and inspection tools accurately.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in metal fabrication, powder coating, plastics, or assembly environments.
  • Familiarity with quality systems, inspection documentation, and nonconformance reporting.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
