Job description

Radiology Technologist
Radiology Diagnostic
The Radiology Technologist will:
  • Prepare patient for radiographic procedure, as appropriate to the ages of the patients' growth and development through the life cycle factors (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
  • Prepare and operate imaging equipment, as appropriate to the ages of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
  • Perform duties in accordance with the department's quality control program.
  • Assist Radiologist and/or Radiology Resident during performance of X-Ray procedure, as appropriate to the ages of the patients' growth and development through the life cycle factors (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
  • Perform various clerical duties.
  • Transport patients when requested.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in field.
  • Oversee Student Radiologic Technologist's activities when student is assigned to same work area.
  • Assist Supervisor in orienting and training new employees.
  • Maintain an orderly work environment.

Requirements:
  • Requires a current New Jersey license to practice Radiologic Technology.
  • Requires a working knowledge of the X-Ray and computer technology normally found within the Radiology Department.
  • Possesses the sensitivity and skills to effectively interact with patients, Physicians, Hospital employees and students.
  • Possesses good reading and deductive skills in order to ascertain Physician's requests and solve problems.
  • Possesses the ability to think and move quickly in order to deliver quality and efficient patient care.
  • BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.

Salary Range: 31.36 - 50.17 USD
We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
