This role involves analyzing detailed test requirements and designing advanced Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems tailored to customer specifications. The engineer will create and implement comprehensive test strategies, including test plans, acceptance procedures, and rigorous design verification processes.
The position requires leadership in enhancing team test capabilities through planning, coordination, and development of custom test equipment, including fixture design and fabrication. Responsibilities include performing RF test setup, calibration, validation, and troubleshooting of complex assemblies to ensure accurate, repeatable measurements.
The engineer will develop and maintain automated test software using National Instruments LabVIEW, integrating instrumentation and databases to enable scalable, efficient, and high-throughput testing environments. Additional duties include conducting advanced troubleshooting, failure analysis, and root cause investigations for MMIC devices and RF assemblies, as well as executing product qualification and environmental stress testing to meet industry standards.
This role also involves generating detailed technical reports, managing test data systems, and supporting laboratory operations such as asset tracking and equipment maintenance. Precision work under microscopes for inspection, assembly support, and failure analysis are also required. The ideal candidate is highly technical, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain automated test software for ATE systems using LabVIEW, Python, C, C++, Visual Basic and other industry-standard test development tools to improve efficiency and data integrity
  • Analyze customer specifications to define test requirements, configurations, and acceptance criteria for MMIC testing
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, including ATE configurations, fixtures, and software/hardware interfaces
