All About You

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Effluent/Nitrates/Reclaim Operator to join our team.  This position monitors the operation of the waste water treatment plant, manufacture metal nitrate solutions, and the processing, handling, and storage of reclamation products quality.  You will be part of an efficient, quality oriented, autonomous work team that is committed to continuous learning and improvement in line with Saft's World Class goals and objectives.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Training by an independent agency for industrial waste water operations.
  • Forklift training/certification required.
  • Certified Manufacturing Specialist course through an accredited technical college or equivalent.
  • Solid basic computer knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with hazardous chemicals and possible electrical hazards.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
  • Must understand and follow the proper environmental/safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to move and lift 110+ pounds at table height.
  • Flexible Workforce Certification Program preferred.
  • JIT manufacturing preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the processing, handling, and storage of reclamation productions.
  • Label, store and log all information on collected materials.
  • Perform daily bulk chemical inventory, maintain hazardous material satellite collection stations, and empty all dust collectors.
  • Maintain effluent water quality that is consistent with Saft's waste water treatment permit.
  • Ensure there is no discharge to the city and shut down the chemical plant, if necessary, with proper personnel notification.
  • Manufacture quality nitrate solution in a safe and effluent manner.
