Billing Clerk - Creve Coeur, Missouri (St. Louis Area)

Stange Law Firm, PC has an immediate opening for a dynamic, highly motivated full-time Billing Clerk in our St. Louis-area headquarters, which is relocating from Clayton to our newly renovated Creve Coeur office on August 1, 2026.

Position Details
  • Full-time position
  • Monday-Friday
  • 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Hourly pay with bonus opportunities
  • In-office position
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Answer client billing questions professionally and courteously.
  • Report directly to the Director of Administration on billing-related matters.
  • Contact clients regarding outstanding balances and trust account replenishments as directed by the Director of Administration or attorneys.
  • Promptly respond to client phone calls and emails regarding invoices and billing questions.
  • Ensure the accuracy of payments, deposits, and billing transactions.
  • Record client expenses within the firm's billing software.
  • Assist with preparing invoices, applying payments, processing credit card payments, recording client payments, and sending invoices via mail and email.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including filing, mailings, calendaring, and telephone communications.
  • Maintain confidentiality while providing exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • College degree preferred.
  • Prior billing, accounting, bookkeeping, banking, or payment processing experience preferred.
  • Experience handling cash, payments, or financial transactions.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Typing speed of approximately 45 WPM or higher.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
