Job description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting students from kindergarten to 5th grade. This position begins August 3, 2026, and continues through May 28, 2027, offering a steady assignment in a vibrant educational environment near Montgomery, TX.

This SLPA role focuses on working within a school setting with a dynamic caseload of K-5 students. Your skills and passion for communication will make a direct impact on children’s growth and development throughout the academic year.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Valid SLPA license or certification required
  • Prior experience in educational or healthcare settings, with preference for school-based experience
  • Strong collaboration abilities for working with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists, teachers, and families
  • Knowledge of best practices for speech and language therapy interventions for elementary-aged students
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to build rapport and motivate young learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language services as outlined in student IEPs under supervision of an SLP
  • Implement activities and exercises to support communication, language, and articulation goals
  • Document student progress and assist with data collection
  • Communicate regularly with supervising SLPs, teachers, and staff to ensure coordinated care
  • Support screenings and assessments as needed
  • Maintain compliance with all state and district guidelines for documentation and practice
