Job description

Role Summary

We seek a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A) to support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering evidence-based, pediatric-focused care. This position is available in Washington, DC, Bethesda, MD, and Germantown, MD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist SLPs in administering speech and language screenings.
  • Implement therapy plans under SLP supervision for clients with communication disorders.
  • Deliver direct intervention services and support data collection.
  • Document session outcomes and client progress.
  • Communicate effectively with families and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic client care.
  • Comply with all clinical, ethical, and legal standards of practice.
  • Engage in ongoing training and continuing education.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance or a related field.
  • Active Maryland SLP-A license.
  • Previous pediatric experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Collaborative and family-centered mindset.
  • Comfortable with the physical requirements of pediatric care (kneeling, floor work, lifting 10+ lbs, etc.).
